- (16). NetIP volunteers @ Richmond School, Sunday August 14
Thanks to Leena Ved for taking the lead on this event. Here's her event summary:
"Many thanks to the NetIP SFBA volunteers who made a huge difference last Sunday at Leadership Public Schools' Richmond campus. 11 volunteers through NetIP SFBA rolled up their sleeves and enthusiastically helped out a small, college-prep urban school that serves low-income high school students. The volunteers helped improve the challenging facility by creating new planters with bright flowers, weeding grounds, setting up a new technology lab, assembling furniture for a new chemistry lab, and much more. Volunteers also took on leadership roles to coordinate the efforts of other parent, student, and school volunteers.
Teachers, parents, the principal and COO raved the next day about the NetIP SFBA volunteers' spirit and contribution. One school leader remarked that the small school would have been hard pressed to set up everything for the beginning of school next week if it wasn't for our volunteers. Thanks again!"
